How to Introduce Your Children to Personal Watercraft

Many cottagers wonder how and when they should start taking their child on their pwc. I think the earlier the better, so that the child becomes accustomed to your seadoo and doesn’t develop a fear of it, but there are some general rules of thumb that you can follow so you know your child is ready to go on a pwc.

Winterizing The Cottage And Seadoos

The end of another year is upon us, and the only thing sadder than not being able to come out to the cottage every weekend, is the thought that I have to pack up my seadoos for the winter. These last few weeks of the summer lake season are spent doing all the closing up tasks, and cleaning and fixing that the cottage and all the lake toys require after another fun summer. It’s not all that bad though, because the cleanup and fixing that is done in the fall just means an easy job of opening the cottage in the spring.

Safe PWC Riding

The summer Seadoo PWC season is quickly winding down. Even though it was generally a fairly wet summer, I was able to get out on the water almost weekly and, in my books, that is a good summer. I only intend to write a few more Seadoo PWC articles before the summer 2009 season is over. One of the most important seadoo topics involves seadoo safety and it never hurts to review seadoo safety tips at the end of the season.

My Seadoo And Summer Camping Weekends

I must have the best summer weekend schedule of anyone I know. Well, except for my buddies who have pretty much the same weekend schedule that I do. I spend the entire week preparing for Friday evening, where I will pack up the truck, tighten down my seadoo cover, hitch up the seadoo trailer, and head out on my 2 hour drive up to the summer campsite destination. I have a small set of friends that share the same passion for seadoo riding and camping that I do, so every year I look forward to a summer of good times relaxation at the lake.
